John H. Wright

	John H. Wright, 66, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2001 at 9:31 a.m. at his home.
	 Mr. Wright had been a truck driver owner and operator leased to PBX Trucking Co. of Dakota City, Nebraska.  He was of the Christian faith.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Mayfield, Ky. He was a Kentucky Colonel and was active in the Auxiliary Police in Mayfield, Ky. for several years.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
	 He was born June 3, 1935 at Hallidayboro, the son of Hance And Martha (Beard) Wright.  He first married Joyce A. Heller on December 11, 1959 and she preceded him in death on September 13, 1981.  He then married Joyce A. Hayes Colclasure Balsover on December 26, 1992 at Mt. Vernon and she survives.
	Surviving are his wife, Joyce A. Wright of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Julia Wright Balsover and husband Thomas J. of Mt. Vernon; son, John Michael Wright of Nashville, Tenn.; step-sons, J.R. Colclasure and wife Valerie of Canyon Lake, Texas and Thomas J. Balsover and wife Julia of Mt. Vernon; step-daughter, Lisa A. Rollison of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Amber Miller, Corey Hariss, Jaynell Rollison, Michaela  Rollison, Jason Colclasure, Michael Colclasure, Salena Colclasure Campbell and Mason Balsover; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ben H. Wright of DuQuoin; sisters, Mary E. Slover of LaGrange, Ill. and Nancy Dunbar and husband Bob of Everett, Washington.
	 He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; one son, Jeffrey Wright; one brother, Harold E. Wright and a step-son-in-law, Doc Rollison.
	Graveside services were Tuesday, August 28 at 1 p.m. at Old Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. David Shores officiating.
	Visitation was at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening.
	Those attending the graveside service were asked to go directly to the cemetery on Tuesday afternoon.
